10/7/08: Welcome to A-B Travel Basketball's 2008-2009 season. This season will be our largest ever in terms of participation with 178 players on 15 Acton-Boxborough teams. 

Whether you are a new or returning player, now would be a good time to visit the "Program Information and Philosophy" link at the top of this page. It will give you an overview of expectations, schedules, and other information regarding our program and the season. 

The "2008-2009 Coaches Information" link has also been updated. There you can get the names and contact information of our coaches.

For the next three Saturday's (10/11, 10/18, and 10/25) there will be a 90 minute clinic in the High School Lower Gym. The schedule is available here. Weeknight practices will begin the week of October 27. You will have a pre-season league game on 11/16 and/or 11/23. The regular season begins on 12/7.

In the boys divisions, all of which have more than one team, your son will not be assigned to a specific coach until October 25. Please help us remain independent when we make these rosters by not requesting that your son play for one coach over another. He'll have a good season regardless for who he plays for. 

You might remember that you only paid a try-out fee when you registered your son/daughter over the summer. Please look for correspondence from our program administrator, Donna Kaufman, who will collect the balance of your son/daughter's registration fee over the next couple of weeks. It is not the policy of A-B Travel Basketball to discriminate based on financial need. If you feel a partial or full scholarship will be necessary to enable your child to play this year, please speak with Donna.
